Background Check Procedures

 
 



VOLUNTEERS- must complete a background check before assisting in McCracken County Schools.  Complete Volunteer form and submit to Ellie Egner at 435 Berger Road, Paducah, KY 42003 for processing.  You will be contacted when the results have been received.


EMPLOYEES- ALL NEW EMPLOYEES MUST COMPLETE A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.  THIS IS A STATEWIDE BACKGROUND CHECK PERFORMED BY THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE.


The Criminal Background Check Fingerprint Card is available at the Police Station or Sheriff’s Office.


The Paducah City Police will only do fingerprints on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from

8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


They will charge you $5.00 in cash to be printed.  Take your driver’s license with you.

The Processing Fee should be made Payable to McCracken County Board of Education. 


The fee for Certified Employees (including Part-time, Full-time Certified Staff, Substitute Teachers and Student Teachers/Practicum Students) is $36.50 for a state and national background check.


The fee for Classified Employees (including Transportation, Coaches, FRYSC, Daycare Workers, Instructional Assistants, Food Service, etc.) is $20.00 for a state background check.


We cannot accept cash.  Payment must be made with Personal Check or Money Order.
